The Standards Accelerator Service (SAS) is a brand new type of support designed to increase the standardisation contributions of research projects, turning promising research outcomes into concrete, standardisation deliverables.
The service provides practical, hands-on guidance to projects ready to engage directly with standardisation processes. Tailored support is offered over an extended period of up to six months by a subset of standardisation experts, part of the HSbooster II pool, who will be specifically trained to deliver this using available HSbooster tools. Examples of support include
- Support for registration and participation in technical committees.
- Guidance on drafting new work item proposals.
- Preparation for working group meetings and deliverables.
- Strategic advice on influencing standardisation deliverables.
There is no application process for this service. The entry point is typically the mentoring service. Beneficiary projects are selected through a methodology for assessing standardisation readiness.
