Standardisation expertise is having a moment. Just weeks after HSbooster.eu II opened its own call for experts to join its External Pool of Experts, CEN, CENELEC and ETSI have launched a parallel call for tender, seeking experts to shape a Pan-European Certificate on Standardisation under the RESSE project – Reinforcing the European Standardisation System through Education.
RESSE, funded under the Single Market Programme, aims to build the next generation of standardisation professionals and widen participation in standardization work among SMEs, students and young professionals. The Pan-European Certificate is one of four key actions under the project, alongside the development of education materials, student engagement and internships, and training in support of quality harmonised standards.
The certificate will validate and recognise standardisation knowledge and skills across the EU and EFTA, supporting understanding of the European standardisation system at multiple levels: from general awareness, to application in specific sectors, to active participation in technical committees.
Selected experts will be responsible for developing the scope and content of the certificate, validating the infrastructure of the certification scheme, fine-tuning it based on pilot results, and supporting its promotion across the standardisation community.
Together with HSbooster.eu II's own call, this signals a clear and growing demand for standardisation expertise across Europe's research, innovation and education landscape. Standardisation professionals within the HSbooster.eu network are well placed to consider this opportunity.
Application deadline: 6 July 2026 (EOB)
