Software Technologies and Standards Recommendation Report: Enabling Interoperability and Innovation

A joint recommendation report on software technologies and standards has been published!

SWForum.eu, in collaboration with EU-funded projects namely, CHARITY, MEDINA, EUCloudEdgeIoT, and HSbooster.eu, has released the recommendation report from the webinar on "Software Technologies and Standards: Enabling Interoperability and Innovation," held on February 21, 2023.

Ray Walshe, a professor at the Dublin City University and HSbooster.eu EAG Chair, took part in drafting the report and presented HSbooster.eu and the standardisation resources available to researchers and projects.

The joint report stresses the significance of software standards in promoting interoperability and innovation. It highlights the benefits and challenges of software standards, identifies the key stakeholders involved in their development, and provides recommendations for policymakers, industry players, and standardisation organisations to improve the software standardisation ecosystem.

Additionally, the report discusses the emerging trends and technologies that may impact software standardisation, such as AI and blockchain. The report concludes that software standardisation plays a vital role in advancing interoperability and innovation and suggests actionable recommendations for stakeholders to enhance this important area.
